Counselling
Please telephone the Mayfield Centre - 0121 685 8551 - to ask about the waiting list.
Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid provides specialist counselling for women affected by the experience of domestic violence, rape and sexual abuse.
Counselling can provide women with an opportunity to work through their feelings and experience in some depth and look at ways of moving forward.
Women wishing to take up this free service are initially offered an Assessment Interview in order to decide whether BSWA is the appropriate organisation to help them. Once a decision has been made to accept a woman as a client she is offered one to one counselling on a weekly basis for between 12 and 26 weeks. Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes.
Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid is an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and works within its Ethical Guidelines.
To arrange an appointment, telephone 0121 685 8551.
