What you may be worried about -
- You may feel unsafe in your own home, but you do not want to leave it, and your things, behind and move somewhere else with nothing, especially if you have children and you don’t want them to have to leave their home, friends and school behind.
- You may be worried that your abuser may try and break into your home and harm you or your children, or damage your property.
- You may worry that if you leave your home, you won’t be able to find anywhere else to live, or will be able to afford anywhere else.
“Thank you for your support and the letters you wrote to housing I am truly grateful.”
“I feel much safer now that I have had Sanctuary installed; it was an option that made a big difference, as I was not able to move home.”
How can BSWA help me?
You can call the Helpline on 0800 0732 606 Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.00pm to talk about how abuse is affecting you and your children, and to find out more about what we can offer.
